String art is a way to produce artwork using string, usually by winding it round nails which have been hammered into a piece of wood.  During this workshop we will show you how to use a similar process to produce lovely greetings cards for your family and friends.  
 
We will start by taking our greeting card blanks, choosing your own designs then transfering the designs on to the cards.  Once the design has been transferred we will guide you though choosing the best form of string art for your designs and then how to use embroidery thread to create your desired picture. You should produce 2 - 3 cards during the workshop.
 
We will also explain how to create different shapes if you wish to continue your newly learnt artform at home.
 
What do I need to bring?
  • You do not need to bring anything with you, all materials are included.

Our workshops include unlimited tea and coffee and we usually have biscuits and/or cake too. 

Level:  Beginners, no previous experience necessary.

Terms & Conditions - The fee for the workshop is payable when booking. If you need to cancel your booking, we are unable to offer a refund. You may however be able to nominate someone else to attend the workshop in your place. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date. We will only cancel due to sickness or insufficient places sold.  If we have to cancel you will be refunded the full amount paid or given the option to transfer your booking to another workshop.
