Hand embroidery is a very relaxing form of sewing which is achieved by sewing decorative stitches onto fabric to create beautiful pictures or to decorate clothing or home textiles.

Working in a small group, during this workshop we will take you through some of the most popular stitches, how to choose a design and the different ways you can transfer it to your fabric.

By the end of the workshop you will have had time to practice stitches, created a lovely 3" hoop framed picture and learnt what you need to know to progress your hand embroidery at home.

What do I need to bring?
  • You do not need to bring anything with you as all materials are included in the workshop however, you may wish to bring a notepad and pen for taking notes.
  • Please remember your glasses if you require them for close up work.

Our workshops include unlimited tea and coffee and we usually have biscuits and/or cake too. 

Level:  Beginners, no previous experience necessary.

Terms & Conditions - The fee for the workshop is payable when booking. If you need to cancel your booking, we are unable to offer a refund. You may however be able to nominate someone else to attend the workshop in your place. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date. We will only cancel due to sickness or insufficient places sold.  If we have to cancel you will be refunded the full amount paid or given the option to transfer your booking to another workshop.
