This workshop is perfect for you if you have a little previous knowledge of block printing.  Take your block printing to a new level by learning complex techniques, adding layering, masking, stencils, collage and stitch to highlight the potential of this versatile craft.

You will start with a bundle of fabrics,  including hand-dyed Egyptian cotton, to create some interesting backgrounds by building up layers of colour and pattern before stitching and embellishing with threads, beads and sequins. 
 
You will have the opportunity to try out a wide range of Indian printing blocks including elephants, animals, fauna and flora, seaside, square and circular patterns, borders and more!
 
You will leave the workshop armed with the knowledge and skills to produce art in your own unique style. 
 
What do I need to bring?
  • An apron to protect your clothes.

Our workshops include unlimited tea and coffee and we usually have biscuits and/or cake too. 

Level:  Some previous experience in block printing is necessary.

Terms & Conditions - The fee for the workshop is payable when booking. If you need to cancel your booking, we are unable to offer a refund. You may however be able to nominate someone else to attend the workshop in your place. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date. We will only cancel due to sickness or insufficient places sold.  If we have to cancel you will be refunded the full amount paid or given the option to transfer your booking to another workshop.
